Dear Diary ;
today i saw a hibiscus flower.
and this is what i think-
millions of pollen grains
genetically identical cells
each carefully encoded
with unique dna carefully sewn into
the ovules.
a curious bee wanders along
flying straight onto a bright pink petal
analysing a path straight to the
aphrodiasc nectar
sweet and fresh.
finally sipping the nectar
brushes of pollen grains clutch onto its leg
heading towards a bright new
future
one filled with potential and ability to fill
the world with beautiful lovely hibiscus plants.
yet when all the pollen grains are gone
slowly the flower fades away
softly dying, crumbling into the brown earth.
till one and all are the same.
